Jason Palmer releases new album, ‘Rhyme and Reason’

The trumpeter leads a quartet in this live recording.

Acclaimed trumpeter Jason Palmer has released a new album, Rhyme and Reason.

The album—eight tracks collected in two discs—was recorded live at New York City’s Jazz Gallery in June last year. Palmer led a quartet, including Mark Turner on tenor saxophone, Matt Brewer on bass and Kendrick Scott on drums.

Rhyme and Reason is the first release by Giant Step Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to live jazz recordings. Stream the album here:
