Jacob Collier has released the video for “He Won’t Hold You,” the fourth single from his upcoming LP, Djesse Vol 3.

On the subdued new track, American rapper Rapsody supplies a somber verse over fragile strings and Collier’s rich multi-tracked backing chorus. The song’s stunning, mostly greyscale music video consists of over 1,200 individual watercolor images painted by Daniel Bruson. Collier revealed on Instagram that Bruson worked over 80 days to create the video.

“He Won’t Hold You” is the fourth preview of Djesse Vol 3, which is the third installment in his ambitious four-part, 50-song Djesse album series which started in December 2018. It follows the previous singles “Time Alone With You” (featuring Daniel Caesar), “In My Bones” (with Kimbra and Tank and The Bangas) and “All I Need” (with Mahalia and Ty Dolla $ign).

“These songs (and people) have transformed my life utterly,” Collier said on Instagram. “I cannot wait to share them with you.”
