Now this definitely sparks joy: It’s Ezra Collective’s new album, You Can’t Steal My Joy, out now.
This is the debut album from the London quintet, though they’ve been kicking it and burning up stages for seven years now. They teased the album with strong advance singles like “Reason in Disguise” and “What Am I to Do?,” which are collabs with fellow up-and-coming London talents Jorja Smith and Loyle Carner respectively. Look out, too, for the album’s closing cover of Fela Kuti’s “Shakara,” a collaboration with Afrobeat group KOKOROKO.
