Flying Lotus remixes Brandon Coleman’s “Walk Free”

The lead single off Brainfeeder’s tenth anniversary compilation.

Flying Lotus has graced us with a remix of “Walk Free,” a song by his occasional collaborator and keyboardist Brandon Coleman.

“Walk Free” is the final track off Coleman’s solo debut, Resistance, which was released last week on Brainfeeder. For the remix, Flylo has trimmed it by about a minute, adding some jazzy flourishes and further propulsion via an emphatic drumbeat.

The remix is the lead single off Brainfeeder’s upcoming tenth anniversary compilation, Brainfeeder X. The box set contains two volumes: one retrospective and another comprising an “unreleased future canon,” as the label has put it.

According to Stereogum, artists on the compilation include Thundercat, Taylor McFerrin, Georgia Anne Muldrow, TOKiMONSTA and, naturally, Flying Lotus.

Brainfeeder X is out November 16. Listen to the “Walk Free” remix below:
