American-Indian supergroup Crosscurrents Trio have shared their new album, Good Hope.

The collective, comprising bassist Dave Holland, tabla player Zakir Hussain and saxophonist Chris Potter, recorded the eight-track album over two days in September 2018. According to a statement on label Edition Records’ website, Good Days was built on “a clarity and intensity of vision with a deep desire of mutual respect for collaboration and sharing a love of this music.”

In the statement, Holland also discussed the making of the album: “The traditions of jazz and Indian music are two of the most highly developed forms of improvisational music and bringing them together creates a rich musical language that expands the creative possibilities of both.”

Potter’s latest album, Circuits, dropped in February. On the other hand, Dave Holland dropped his collaborative album Uncharted Territories in 2018.
