Cory Henry has ‘Something to Say’ on new album

Jazz multi-instrumentalist Cory Henry has released his new album, Something to Say.

The follow-up to Henry’s 2018 debut Art of Love with his band the Funk Apostles, Something to Say carries a powerful message told in the language of soul, funk and R&B. Henry balances upbeat, boisterous songs with stunning tracks that ruminate on emotional experiences like love, loss and social injustice.

“I feel good because all of the songs came together and they mean something to me,” Henry shared in a press release of the album’s writing process, “so I hope they mean something to other people.”

Henry’s long road to Something to Say started with a major performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series and benefits from his experience performing alongside top-tier artists. The pianist and former Snarky Puppy member has toured and recorded with musicians including Bruce Springsteen, Diddy and The Roots.
