Yung Baby Tate has shared a colorful clip for her new single, “Rainbow Cadillac.”
The track was released via Issa Rae’s record label, Raedio, and boasts a bouncing beat that samples Danity Kane’s “Showstopper.” Tate shows off her dance chops in the accompanying visual, which finds her flanked by a team of stylish dancers inside an auto repair shop.
In a press statement, the Georgia native confirmed that “Rainbow Cadillac” is the first offering from her next project, After the Rain. “This year has been pretty rough for a lot of us and, at times, it can be very bleak. At the end of every storm, the rainbow comes back out, and this project is me becoming that musical rainbow again to remind people it’s gonna be alright,” she said.
The seven-track project is out December 4 and will feature guest spots from Flo Milli and 6LACK. It’s the follow-up to her 2019 debut, GIRLS and its deluxe edition. The album featured appearances from Mulatto, BbyMutha, Baby Rose, Kari Faux and more.
