Young Thug, Unfoonk share touching “Real” video

The brothers’ ‘Slime Language 2’ collab gets the visual treatment.

“Real,” the fresh collaboration by Young Thug and his brother Unfoonk, has gotten a music video.

The track, co-produced by RichieTheGod and Jai Beats, landed last week as part of Young Stoner Life Records’ new compilation album, Slime Language 2. The “Real” visual opens with Unfoonk returning home from a stint in prison. He and Thug then reconnect and start recording music together from a makeshift home studio.

The NeverPanic-directed clip hits an emotional chord because it mirrors the brothers’ real stories: in 2010, Unfoonk began serving a life sentence plus ten years. However, Thug’s legal team was able to get him freed in March 2019. Shortly after, Unfoonk began releasing music of his own and made his YSL debut on 2018’s Slime Language.

“Check the Rollie, bitch, it’s my time / It’s Slime Mob ’til the death of me / Don’t say you love me if you won’t kill for me / I see my haters on the sideline / Heaven taught me I’m in top five,” Unfoonk rhymes on the chorus.

Other artists who appeared on the stacked Slime Language 2 include Gunna, Lil Keed, Future, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Drake, Rowdy Rebel, Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, NAV and more.

The “Real” visual follows clips for compilation cuts “Ski,” “That Go!” and “Take it to Trial.” Watch Thug and Unfoonk’s new video below:
