Young Thug drops ‘On the Rvn’ EP featuring Sir Elton John

6LACK and Jaden Smith also appear on the project.

Attention: A new Young Thug EP is out in the world. The Atlanta maverick dropped On the Rvn late yesterday.

The six-track project features 6LACK on “Climax” and Jaden Smith on “Sin,” but perhaps most excitingly, Sir Elton John on the transcendent “High,” which puts a trap spin on his 1972 classic “Rocket Man.”

Thugger devotees have been anticipating this unexpected tie-up since early March, when a “well-placed” source tipped off The Fader about the “really ambient and amazing” track. Later that month, Todd Moscowitz, co-founder of Thug’s label 300 Entertainment, stoked the rumors further when he posted a photo of John and the rapper together.

And if those features weren’t enough, it appears there are more on the way. Shortly after dropping the EP, Thug took to Twitter to announce that it would soon be updated with a new version of “Real in My Veins” featuring T-Shyne and another version of “On the Rvn,” with Offset.

On the Rvn is Thugger’s third project of 2018, coming on the heels of August’s Slime Language and April’s Hear No Evil EP. How does it stack up against those other recent releases? Check it out below and decide:
