YFN Lucci, wanted by police on murder charge, turns himself in

But not before dropping a new music video.

YFN Lucci turned himself into the Atlanta police a day after they announced he was wanted on multiple charges, including murder, in connection with a fatal December shooting.

On Tuesday (January 12), Atlanta police announced the rapper was facing charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, participating in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. A $5,000 reward was offered for information that could lead to Lucci’s arrest.

Lucci—real name Rayshawn Bennett—was charged in connection with the shooting of a 28-year-old man James Adams in southwest Atlanta on December 10. Two other suspects, Ra’von Boyd and Leroy Pitts, had already been arrested for their alleged involvement in the shooting.

Police have said that Adams was found with gunshot wounds to his face and in a different location than the site of the shooting. He later succumbed to his injuries. Another gunshot victim, who survived his injuries, was also found at a nearby fire station, though investigators are not sure if the two shootings are related.

Lucci turned himself in to the police on Wednesday (January 13), hours after releasing the music video for his song “Rolled On” featuring Mozzy, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. His attorney declined to comment on the charges, only telling the publication, “Every person has a presumption of innocence.”

“Rolled On” appeared on Lucci’s 2020 project Wish Me Well 3. See the video below:
