YFN Lucci released from jail on $500,000 bond

The rapper turned himself in last month after he was wanted for murder.

YFN Lucci has been released from jail after he was charged with murder last month.

According to TMZ, the Atlanta rapper born Rayshawn Bennett was released on February 8 after posting a US$500,000 bond. However, Billboard reported that a judge has imposed strict conditions on the rapper’s release. On top of the bond, Lucci must also surrender his passport and wear a GPS ankle bracelet, his lawyer revealed in a statement. He is also not allowed to post anything on social media or contact anyone related to his case.

In January, Lucci turned himself into the Atlanta police after he was wanted by the authorities on multiple charges, including murder, in connection with the December shooting of James Adams in southwest Atlanta. Two other suspects had already been arrested for their alleged involvement in the shooting.

At the time, Lucci’s lawyer declined to comment, only saying that “every person has a presumption of innocence.”

Before turning himself in, Lucci released a music video for his Mozzy-assisted track, “Roll on.”
