Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y have dropped a music video for “Garage Talk,” the opening track from their January collaborative project, 2009.
In the Art Deco-inspired visual directed by CJ Wallis, the duo exchange bars as animated scenes move past them, zoetrope-style. The video was also accompanied by the release of their new interactive platform, HiSpace, which harkens back to the old days of Myspace, where the two rappers first connected.
On the track produced by Dame Grease, Wiz flaunts his wealth and success with lyrics like “We done touch M’s, now we on to billions / Hard to explain how these new rugs feeling.” On the other hand, Curren$y talks about his undying hustle: “Lay the merchandise out, get the loot, motherfucker / East side real n***a, show ya how to hustle.”
“Garage Talk” is the fifth single from 2009 to receive the visual treatment. They previously released visuals for “The Life.”
