Wiley has dropped a slick music video for “Boasty,” featuring rapper Stefflon Don, dancehall veteran Sean Paul and A-list actor Idris Elba.
The grime heavyweight doesn’t make an appearance in his own video, instead employing a young child actor to lip sync in his place. In the Henry Scholfield-directed clip, Don and Paul also flow effortlessly over Thomas Mackenzie Bello’s bouncy dancehall beat.
At the tail-end of the video, Elba takes center stage as he spits a verse while swaggering into a fashion shoot. He flexes about how “man’s a big DJ, ask Meghan and Harry,” referring to his experience DJing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. Contrary to popular belief though, Elba is not a complete newbie when it comes to rapping, having dropped bars prior in a 2015 remix of Skepta’s “Shutdown.”
