Westside Gunn unveils new album, ‘Who Made the Sunshine’

Plus a documentary about the Griselda Records artist and his life before rap.

Westside Gunn continues to keep fans fed with another album, Who Made the Sunshine—which also marks his major label debut on Shady Records.

For the 11-track record, the Buffalo rapper enlists an impressive list of collaborators, including Black Thought, Jadakiss, Slick Rick and Busta Rhymes. It also features his Griselda Records labelmates Boldy James, Armani Caesar, Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine. In addition, Daringer and Beat Butcha take the reins on the production side of things, with help from Alchemist and Just Blaze.

Alongside the album’s release, Westside also unveiled a documentary titled Who Made the Sunshine: Connie’s Son. The film is set in Alabama, where Gunn lived for three years while on the run from authorities. It features an interview with his mother Connie, and gives fans an intimate look at the Buffalo native’s life and upbringing.

Who Made the Sunshine is the third project from Gunn this year, following Flygod is an Awesome God 2 and Pray for Paris. Stream the new album below:
