Westside Boogie, Joey Bada$$ release stylish “Outside” MV

The Compton artist’s first solo release since changing his moniker.

Westside Boogie, formerly known simply as Boogie, has teamed up with Joey Bada$$ for his new song, “Outside.”

On the track, the Compton rapper contemplates his standing in the rap game over a piano-driven beat, produced by Mike Lowry, Tae Beast and Rascal. “Know it’s all ’bout the finish / I think I’m bein’ too timid, I think I need to get with it / I think the reason I’m missing ’cause I been lackin’ precision / I think the credit they owe me should never come with a limit / I’m the best rapper that, wait, I’m the best rapper alive,” he spits.

The song dropped alongside a stylish visual that features the duo going about town and meeting fans. Later in the clip, they head to an old-school diner where they grab a bite to eat and link up with their crew.

The track is Boogie’s first solo release since he changed he added “Westside” to his moniker. Last year, he released his debut studio album, Everythings For Sale, which featured appearances from Eminem, 6LACK, Snoh Aalegra and more.
