Rod Wave has shared a new single called “Street Runner,” taken off his forthcoming album, SoulFly.

Over a sample of Canadian artist Ruth B’s “Mixed Signals,” the Florida native rhymes about the wild ride that fame, fans and his successful 2020 album Pray 4 Love have taken him on over the past year.

“Sorry I missed your call, I was on a jet / I been so zoned out, tryna figure out what’s next / So scared to fail, I’m calculatin’ my every step / Gotta watch my back and keep my strap, but nonetheless,” Rod sings on the track.

The track’s accompanying video mixes shots of Rod traveling across the country in his private jet with archival footage of his live performances. At the end of the clip Rod also teases his upcoming record’s release, telling fans that “the album is done.”

SoulFly is due on March 26 and will serve as the follow-up to Pray 4 Love, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 last year. The record is also expected to include the single “Shooting Star.”
