Yesterday marked one year since the death of XXXTentacion, and the Floridian rapper’s estate has released a teaser trailer for a documentary that charts his rise to fame.
Featuring narration by X himself, the clip pieces together various home videos that capture the rapper—born Jahseh Onfroy—hanging out with his friends and family, working on music and meeting fans. “This is the story, this is the full story, this is the last time Imma tell it,” X says in the voiceover.
The trailer was shared on the rapper’s official Instagram with the caption, “coming soon,” although an official release date for the documentary is still unconfirmed. X’s reps also announced that a second posthumous album is currently in the works, Vulture reported. A follow-up to 2018’s Skins, this forthcoming LP is set to include cameos from some of “today’s hottest stars,” they said.
