Post Malone might have taken home the Moonman for Song of the Year, for “Rockstar,” at Monday’s MTV Video Music Awards, but it was his onstage antics that set the internet on fire. He linked up with not only 21 Savage, but the granddaddies of rock, Aerosmith. How ’bout that, oldheads?
Posty took the stage to deliver a stripped-back rendition of “Rockstar,” with 21 making a brief cameo on his verse. But the real show began when Posty grabbed a blinged-out guitar and the curtains pulled back to reveal Aerosmith, who immediately launched into “Dream on” and “Toys in the Attic.” With the “White Iverson” rapper on backing guitar, no less.
Other than Song of the Year, he unfortunately didn’t clinch the other two awards for which he was nominated. Artist of the Year went to Camila Cabello, while “I Like It” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin took home the Song of Summer.
