Watch performances by Cardi B, Lil Nas X and more at the BET Awards 2019

A star-studded night.

Hip hop, R&B and pop musicians pulled out all the stops for their performances at the BET Awards 2019 last night. These included impressive showings by Cardi B and Offset, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and others.

Bardi—who led the pack this year with seven nods—and her boo Offset put together an eye-popping mash-up of “Press” and “Clout” that involved scores of backing dancers and some complicated group choreography. Meanwhile, country trap upstart Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus brought the ‘yeehaw’ agenda to the proceedings by arriving on horseback and turning the stage into a saloon for their remix of “Old Town Road.”

Though DaBaby handled his performance of “Suge” solo, onstage collaborations were clearly the name of the game this year. Migos and Mustard brought “Pure Water” to the stage, while the great uniter DJ Khaled linked up with Meek Mill and Jeremih for “Weather the Storm” and “You Stay.” City Girls’ Yung Miami and Lil Baby shared a performance slot, the former performing “Act Up” and the latter “Close Friends” and “Pure Cocaine.”

One performance in particular ranked among the most special of the night: a touching, multi-song tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle by YG, DJ Khaled, Marsha Ambrosius and John Legend.
