Morray has collaborated with Polo G for a remix of “Trenches,” which has received its own music video.
The original track appeared on Morray’s debut mixtape Street Sermons earlier this year.
“Grew up in the ghetto, know some savages with good hearts / He smokin’ on dead n***s every time that wood spark,” Polo G spits on his deeply confessional verse.
The heartwarming music video for the remix follows a car mechanic who works hard to provide for his family, with clips of the rappers performing the song spliced in between. The mechanic strolls to his workshop and fixes up Morray’s car. He then collects his paycheck at the end of the workday and returns home to spend time with his partner and daughter.
Murray dropped his debut mixtape Street Sermons on April 28, and performed the cuts “Quicksand” and “Can’t Use Me” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year. The North Carolina rapper also appeared on J Cole’s latest album, The Off Season, contributing a guest verse to “My Life.”
On the other hand, Polo G recently linked up with The Kid LAROI for “Not Sober,” and Gunna for “Waves.” The rapper also released his third album Hall Of Fame earlier this year, dropping accompanying visuals for album cuts “Toxic,” “Painting Pictures,” and “Party Life.”
