Watch Jack Harlow make his low-key debut on ‘SNL’

The rapper performed a medley of “Tyler Herro” and “Whats Poppin.”

Jack Harlow recently made his musical debut on Saturday Night Live.

For his first-ever appearance on the NBC comedy series, the Louisiana rapper kept things relatively simple by performing songs from his 2020 debut album, Thats What They All Say. Backed by a live band, he launched into a medley of “Tyler Herro” and “Whats Poppin,” before returning to the stage later for a soulful rendition of “Same Guy.” For the latter song, Harlow was also joined by featured artist Adam Levine, who mostly stayed in the background next to the backup singers.

“Thought that I would change, but I’m the same guy / Blamed it on my youth, but I know Iive had time / Now when it comes to you and I, all that I ever did was tell lies,” the pair sang on the chorus.

Following his SNL appearance, Harlow took to Instagram to commemorate the special evening. “I grew up watching SNL with my family,” he wrote. “Last night I came off stage to find them backstage, my mom crying tears of joy. Amazing night and a bucket list moment. Thank you.”
