Watch Deante’ Hitchcock’s scamtastic video for “I Got Money Now”

The ‘Better’ cut features JID.

Deante’ Hitchcock has dropped a playful new video for “I Got Money Now,” his collaboration with JID from his album Better.

The track is a celebration of the two rappers’ success, as they reflect on their humble beginnings. “Remember my mom bein’ broke as a joke, pay the rent with the light bill, shawty / They cut off the lights, it was dark at the house / But I knew I was bright still, shawty / Then they cut off the heat and my heart got cold / I’m talkin’ about ice chills, shawty,” Hitchcock spits.

In the humorous clip, however, Hitchcock opts to scam his way to the top and pulls off schemes all over town. The Atlanta native impersonates a post office worker, breaks into a home and fakes an injury, all while gleefully declaring, “I got money now!” Neither JID nor his guest verse are featured in the clip.
