Chance the Rapper partnered with Ralph Lauren this week for a virtual performance recorded inside the brand’s flagship store in Chicago. Seated in front of a microphone, the rapper gave intimate renditions of his tracks “Workout,” “Summer Friends,” “Ballin Flossin” and more.
“Music and fashion to me have always been interlinked,” Chance said in a statement. “Ralph Lauren has always been one of my favorite designers, right by my side for some of my favorite moments in my career and personal life. This intimate virtual concert ties together all the greatest events of my life and allows me to sing about them the way I always wanted to.”
With this performance, the Chicago rapper continues a long history with Ralph Lauren: he was dressed in the brand’s apparel on the cover art of his critically acclaimed Coloring Book mixtape and attended the company’s 50th Anniversary Fashion Show in 2018.
Late last week, Chance teamed up with Ludacris for his new single, “I Found You.” He dropped off his debut album, The Big Day, in 2019. He’s also due to appear on Justin Bieber’s upcoming single “Holy,” out this Friday.
