Watch 21 Savage perform “Bank Account” on ‘Ellen’

And after the low-key set, the rapper announced his new charity effort, the 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign.

Future, Migos, Chance the Rapper—The Ellen DeGeneres Show has welcomed some of the hottest hip hop stars of the minute. And 21 Savage is the latest rapper to join the alum, performing “Bank Account” on yesterday’s show.

Sure, his set won’t go down as the best in the series’ history. 21’s low-key and a little subdued as he raps a seriously PG-ified version of the hit track against a video backdrop of—what else—cascading bills. But hearing Ellen say, “Please welcome, 21 Savage” to an audience of cheering soccer moms is priceless.

The real highlight, however, came after the set. 21 took advantage of the platform to announce his new philanthropic effort, Issa Charity. Kidding, we mean the 21 Savage Bank Account Campaign. As part of the campaign, the Atlanta rapper will donate $21,000 to teach kids about financial literacy. 21 may have grown up on the streets, but guess he does have a heart, after all. ❤
