He addresses ongoing national protests on the project.

Wale has returned with a new EP, The Imperfect Storm.

On the six-song project, the DC rapper doesn’t hesitate to address the ongoing protests against police brutality and systemic racism throughout America. Backed by beats from McClenney and Bizness Boi, Wale offers his own perspective on sobering tracks like“Movin’ Different,” “Empty Wishing Well” and “Maajo.”

The Imperfect Storm is Wale’s first project since his 2019 album, Wow… That’s Crazy. That record featured appearances from Ari Lennox, Mannywellz, Bryson Tiller, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Megan Thee Stallion and more.
