Tyler, the Creator drops seductive new song, “Wusyaname”

Another brief teaser before ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’ drops on Friday.

Tyler, the Creator has dropped another music video, this time for the new song, “Wusyaname.”

Clocking in at less than two minutes, the R&B tune “Wusyaname” finds Tyler in a state of infatuation. Over soulful production, he tries to seduce the object of his affections, only to find out they’re taken.

“Aw, you look malnourished / Let’s get some bread, fry the egg yolk and drown it in syrup / You pick a spot, I pick a tail number and we can be tourists / Let’s go to Cannes and watch a couple indie movies that you never heard of,” he beckons. The song also features contributions from Ty Dolla $ign and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

The track’s accompanying visual was self-directed by Tyler under his Wolf Haley moniker. Tyler introduces the video as he travels across California, narrating his search for some legendary brioche buns. He eventually finds the woman featured in his “Side Street” teasers, and he aims to win her over.

As the video comes to a close, she appears with the brioche bun Tyler was searching for. The clip ends with a title card that reads the title of his upcoming album.

“Wusyaname” follows last week’s “Lumberjack,” and comes ahead of the release of his next album, Call Me If You Get Lost. His seventh record will drop on Friday (June 25).

Call Me If You Get Lost will follow his Grammy-winning album IGOR, which he put out in 2019. In March, Tyler also released the track “Tell Me How,” which was featured in a Coca-Cola commercial.
