Trippie Redd, Playboi Carti drop fiery video for “Miss the Rage”

They didn’t skimp on the pyrotechnics.

Trippie Redd and Playboi Carti have dropped a music video for their hit single “Miss the Rage.”

The clip, directed by Nick Walker, didn’t skimp on the pyrotechnics budget. The duo splash gasoline all over a car and set it on fire, delivering their bars as the flames blaze.

“This like GTA, we shoot out helicopters, monsters / We pull up with sticks and hella choppers, ’oppas / We don’t fuck with n***as, they the cops / I put my heart and soul into the Glock,” Redd raps with conviction over heavily distorted 808s and trap rhythms.

Redd revealed in an interview with XXL that “Miss the Rage” is about how he misses performing live shows amid the void due to the pandemic. “I been locked away. I’m one of them people that’s at the festivals, I come out going crazy out the rips. I’m ready to get back to my stage presence. I’m tired of this shit,” he said. “I’m tired of sitting in the house, ’cause that’s all I been doing.”

Redd recently dropped the Travis Barker-produced rock album Neon Shark vs Pegasus, which features all-new rock tunes alongside Redd’s 2020 LP Pegasus.

On the other hand, Carti dropped music videos for Whole Lotta Red cuts “Sky” and “M3tamorphosis”, and performed “Slay3r” on Fallon.
