Trippie Redd drops haunting, beat-less new single

“Together/Bigger Than Satan” features only the rapper’s voice and a moody electric guitar.

We’re holding tight for Trippie Redd’s debut album, Life’s a Trip, which arrives August 10. And to whet our appetite, the rapper has dropped a new song and video from the record, “Together/Bigger Than Satan.”

Unusual for the 19-year-old, the track doesn’t even have a beat. Instead, a somber electric guitar lick meanders throughout the tune, punctuated by Trippie’s mournful howls. “I gotta keep it together, ain’t no tweakin’ now / I gotta pull it together, ain’t no holdin’ on,” he wails.

Trippie has been on a hot streak over the past few months, hyping up his highly anticipated LP by releasing snippets, full tracks and the psychedelic album art. Here’s hoping he keeps ’em coming.
