Juicy J and Travis Scott are far from strangers. The rap stars had worked together on songs like Scott’s Rodeo track “Wasted,” and Juiceman’s 2016 hit, “No English.” And they’ve teamed up once again to deliver “Neighbor.”
Produced by Buddah Bless, the hard-hitting track highlights what the rappers do best: dropping silky smooth rhymes over a fiery trap beat. On Juicy’s verse, he even shouts out a couple of his peers, including Kodak Black, Offset and R&B star Cassie.
During a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Juicy J called the collaboration a work of “magic.” “It’s always amazing when I work with Travis Scott,” the rapper said. “We [were] working on his album Astroworld and we vibed out. After we had been in the studio for three hours, I was like, ‘Yo, Travis, let me get a record for my new album.’ He went into his files and pulled up ‘Neighbor.’”
There’s no official word on whether “Neighbor” will appear on Juicy J’s forthcoming album, or if it’s a one-off single, but for the time being, you can enjoy it here:
