Tkay Maidza has shared her new EP, Last Year Was Weird, Vol 3.
The third, and final, installment of the Australian artist’s EP trilogy was again produced by her longtime collaborator Dan Farber, and features two assists: Yung Baby Tate on “Kim” and UMI on “Onto Me.”
“So much to sayyyy but ima start with love you so much & im so thankful to have you share your gifts with me,” Tkay said to her EP collaborators in an Instagram post. “I can’t believe it’s the last oneee.”
Released in February, Maidza’s and Tate’s song “Kim” was an early standout on the project. The rapper-singer also previously shared EP cuts “Syrup” and “Cashmere.”
Maidza began the Last Year Was Weird series in 2018. The trilogy has featured the likes of JPEGMAFIA, Kari Faux and Duckwrth.
Last month, Tkay also announced an upcoming North American tour—her first since 2017. The 25-year-old will support Emotional Oranges on a 16-date trek, with stops in cities like Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Austin, Denver and more. Maidza will also headline shows in New York and her current base of LA:
