Tierra Whack travels to space in “Link” MV

Her rocket ship is made out of LEGO bricks.

Tierra Whack has released an imaginative video for her new single, “Link.”

In the clip, which was directed by Cat Solen and created in partnership with The LEGO Group, features the rapper traveling to outer space in a rocket ship made from the iconic toy blocks. Later in the video, she crash-lands on an alien planet and is nursed to health by several peculiar-looking creatures.

According to a press release, Whack got the idea for the video after talking to a group of schoolchildren from her native Philadelphia. “I was so excited to work with kids because their energy is fun, exhilarating, never-ending and full of surprises,” she said. “I really trusted them, and I knew they were going to come up with something great. What I loved most about the process was being able to partner with such an iconic company like The LEGO Group because we could make anything happen!”

“Link” is Whack’s first release of 2021, following her 2020 double release, “Peppers and Onions” and “Feel Good.” Earlier last year, the rapper dropped an informal track inspired by self-isolation titled “Stuck.”
