Tierra Whack returns with new single, “Walk the Beat”

“Ghetto fab so I'm still eatin' chicken wings / Versatile so I can keep switchin' lanes.”

Tierra Whack has returned with a fashion-forward new single called “Walk the Beat.”

Over a futuristic instrumental produced by J Melodic, the Philadelphia rapper name-drops her favorite designers.

“Fashion shows, fancy clothes / That’s just the way it goes,” Whack repeats in the haunting chorus. “Alexander Wang with that Helmut Lang / Ghetto fab so I’m still eatin’ chicken wings / Versatile so I can keep switchin’ lanes / I got plenty Janes, I got plenty rings.”

“Walk the Beat” arrives three months after Whack’s playful single, “Link.” Last month, she also appeared on Femme It Forward’s compilation project on the song, “Who Knew.” She was featured alongside Kiana Ledé, Rapsody, Baby Rose and more.

Whack released her debut studio album, Whack World, back in 2018. The 25-year-old hasn’t revealed whether or not her recent loosies are leading up to a new project, but she did tease on Instagram that a video for “Walk the Beat” is on the way.

For now, listen to “Walk the Beat” below.
