TI has just dropped “F**k N***a,” a scathing diss track directed at boxer Floyd Mayweather. It follows the latter’s public support for Gucci, the Italian fashion house which recently received backlash for its sweater design that resembled blackface.
“Damn it must suck to be a fuck n***a / Ol’ greedy ass n***a only thinking about his self,” the rapper spits at the top of the track over a smooth, soul-driven beat. “He get the fame / He get the wealth / But people are struggling, who did you help?”
While the verbal assault didn’t name-drop Mayweather, it was a clear jab at the boxing champ. Mayweather and his crew were spotted by TMZ on a Gucci shopping spree in Beverly Hills earlier this week. When asked about the boycott against the fashion label, Mayweather simply replied, “I’m no follower, I do what the fuck I wanna do.”
Since the blackface scandal broke earlier this month, many rappers including TI, 50 Cent and Soulja Boy have come forward to condemn the luxury brand. Tip, especially, has been the most outspoken, urging his followers to boycott Gucci products on his Instagram.

“[Gucci] MUST correct any and ALL of our concerns. That’s THE ONLY WAY we can get some RESPECT PUT ON OUR NAME!!!! I Don’t Give a Fuck if I gotta wear Target brand shit,” the rapper wrote.
However, Mayweather’s clearly still unfazed by TI’s activism. An hour after the song’s release, the boxer took to social media to slam the rapper’s anti-Gucci campaign, claiming celebrities “boycott for trend, but turn around and still shop at H&M and watch the NFL.”
Gucci, on its part, has since apologized for the sweater and pulled the item from all its stores.
