Three 6 Mafia announce reunion tour following hiatus

Juicy J confirmed it on the ’gram.

Good news for Three 6 Mafia fans: The group are finally reuniting and going on tour, Juicy J revealed on social media over the weekend.

In an Instagram post, Juicy J shared a poster for their upcoming show with the caption, “THREE 6 MAFIA REUNION TOUR!” Titled The Return of Three 6 Mafia, the tour will feature former and current members of the rap collective. These include Juicy J, DJ Paul, Gangsta Boo, Crunchy Black and Project Pat. DMX, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Lil Wyte and La Chat will also join the Three 6 members on the road.

The tour will mark the first time in almost a decade since Juicy J and DJ Paul have performed together on stage, following rumors of a falling out. Established in 1991, the outfit released their last album, Last 2 Walk, in 2008 before going on hiatus in 2011. Since then, Juicy J has been focused on his own career and producing for the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Rae Sremmurd, while DJ Paul has put out a handful of solo projects.

“This year has already been a banner year for new music and production from [myself and Juicy J],” DJ Paul said in a statement, via XXL. “I know this is what the fans have been asking for, so we’re ready to bring them the classics, along with our new music in the best possible way. To quote LL [Cool J], don’t call it a comeback, we have officially been here for years, and we’ve got a lot to show for it. Just wait to see what comes next.”

While the tour dates are unconfirmed at the moment, the poster notes that the group will be headlining a show on October 12 at the Landers Centre in Mississippi. According to Complex, Three 6 are also expected to perform at Atlanta’s One Musicfest next month, alongside T-Pain, Gucci Mane, Trick Daddy and others. Return the favour
