Terrace Martin, Denzel Curry decry police violence on “Pig Feet”

Also featuring Kamasi Washington, G Perico and Daylyt.

Terrace Martin has teamed up with Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico and Daylyt have released “Pig Feet,” a powerful new anti-police violence anthem.

The accompanying video opens with gunshots, alongside a statement that reads: “This video is happening right outside your window.” The rest of the black-and-white visual features footage of the ongoing nationwide protests, which are demanding justice for the murder of George Floyd, who died last week after a police officer kneeled on his neck.

The video’s end credits lists names of black people who have been killed by the police over the last few decades, including Sandra Bland, Breonna Taylor and Michael Brown. The nearly three-minute-long sequence ends with Floyd’s name.

“Someone asked, how do I feel?” Martin said of the song on Instagram. “I told them hurt, fearless, angry, aware and fully ready to protect me, my family & my people at all cost. I got together with Black men that felt the same way and created a work of truth.”
