Tekashi 6ix9ine returns with first song since prison release

“Gooba” arrived alongside a colorful video.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has made his official return with a video for “Gooba,” his first new song since being released from prison.

In the clip, the rapper spits verses about serving time behind bars and the coronavirus while a group of colorful dancers, including his girlfriend Jade, dance around him. 6ix9ine even makes light of his notorious decision to cooperate with the federal government, showing off his ankle monitor in the visual.

“Haha, bitch, I’m laughin’ ’cause you big mad / See it in your face, cry baby, bitch, you big sad / N***as tweetin’ ’bout me, got me trendin’, bitch, you big sad / Tell me how I ratted, came home to a big bag,” he raps.

The rainbow-haired rapper was allowed a compassionate release from prison last month, amidst the coronavirus pandemic. A judge had also agreed to allow him to record new music and shoot music videos while in home confinement. Back in December, 6ix9ine was sentenced to two years behind bars for crimes carried out as part of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.
