Tee Grizzley, Lil Yachty need “2 Vaults” for all their riches

The rappers flaunt their cash, cars and choppas on the new single off Tee’s forthcoming album.

To hype his forthcoming record, Activated, Tee Grizzley yesterday dropped a single off it, “2 Vaults,” featuring Lil Yachty.

Over a subdued trap-lite beat, the two take turns bragging about their riches: “Too much money, I need like two vaults / Stacks big and green, I call my pockets the new Hulk,” Tee spits. The Detroit rapper’s menacing flow is matched by Lil Boat’s spry, peppy style—he isn’t quite as buoyant here, preferring to let Tee take center-stage.

Activated drops on May 11, and if an earlier interview with Tee is any indication, it’s gonna be full of gritty bangers. “When people hear my music, they ain’t really hearing about no shiny stuff, the glamorous life,” he told XXL. “They’re going to hear that gritty slum. It’s a dark cloud over my city. Boarded-up trap houses, cars parked on the grass. I’m going to take you into those houses, into the minds of the people that’s in those houses.”
