Swae Lee, Tyga and Lil Mosey join forces for “Krabby Step”

A new collab for ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.’

Swae Lee, Tyga and Lil Mosey have joined forces on a new song for the upcoming Spongebob movie called “Krabby Step.”

Over the foot-tapping instrumental, which despite the trap percussion is loosely reminiscent of the series’ beloved theme song, Swae and Tyga swap melodic rhymes about Krabby patties, Bikini Bottom and SpongeBob’s pet snail, Gary. Lil Mosey hops on toward the end of the track to add his own breezy closing verse.

“I’m flipping them patties, I’m chillin’ with Patrick / The boat pull up backwards, a day full of laughter / See Sandy Cheeks, I’m burstin’ her bubble / A jellyfish lover, I’ll catch me a couple,” Swae sings. He also recently shared a picture of himself superimposed on a scene of Bikini Bottom, possibly hinting at an upcoming music video for the track.

Swae, Tyga and Mosey’s kid-friendly collab will feature on the soundtrack of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. The film was initially slated for an August release, but was pushed back and released on Netflix earlier this month due to the pandemic.
