Stream YG’s Tupac-influenced album, ‘My Life 4Hunnid’

With features from Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Gunna and more.

YG has released his latest album, My Life 4Hunnid.

For the 14-track record, which was heavily inspired by the late Tupac Shakur, the Compton rapper recruited the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, Chris Brown, Gunna and more. “[Tupac] went through a lot of the stuff that I’m dealing with right now, and he was making records about it, and just the tone and the cadence of how he was coming up,” YG said during an interview with Zane Lowe.

It was also YG’s reverence for the West Coast legend that led him to team up with Lil Wayne for “Blood Walk,” which also features D3szn. “Since I was playing with all the Tupac stuff, I had to go get somebody else who was influenced, highly influenced by Tupac. So, I went and got Lil Wayne to sing with me on a song,” YG explained. “I think it’s a song that everybody’s going to love, because it sounds like it’s some street shit, but Lil Wayne shot it like the 2008 way.”

My Life 4Hunnid also features the singles “FTP,” “Swag” and “Out on Bail.” YG’s last full-length album, 4REAL 4REAL, dropped last year.
