Statik Selektah taps Conway the Machine, 2 Chainz for “Play Around”

The song also features Killer Mike and Allan Kingdom.

Statik Selektah has recruited Conway the Machine, 2 Chainz, Killer Mike and Allan Kingdom for his menacing new track, “Play Around.” It’s the latest offering from Selektah’s upcoming album, The Balancing Act.

On the mega-collab, the rappers swap intense verses over Selektah’s fiery beat. “We really don’t play around / Call me Bob the Builder, got the tools to lay you down / Don’t nobody move and don’t nobody make a sound / Everybody lose if anybody stay around,” Kingdom spits on the chorus.

“‘Play Around’ was one of the first songs that I started on for the album, but the last one that I completely finished,” Selektah said in a statement. “Conway went in, 2 Chainz talked that money talk, and then Killer Mike came through at the last minute and put that raw energy that I needed on that third verse.”
