Snoop Dogg is back with feature-heavy ‘I Wanna Thank Me’

The album includes contributions from YG, Swae Lee, Wiz Khalifa and more.

I Wanna Thank Me is finally here: Snoop Dogg has released his much-anticipated 20th studio album, named after his viral Hollywood Walk of Fame acceptance speech.

The 22-song record features a wide range of collaborators, including Wiz Khalifa, Jazze Pha, Swae Lee, Mustard, Jermaine Dupri, Anitta, Ozuna and YG, to name a few. Swizz Beatz also makes an appearance, joining Snoop on the previously released “Countdown.”

“When I make music, I feel like it’s needed because there’s nothing like it that’s already out,” Snoop told Billboard of this approach to I Wanna Thank Me. “With this particular project, I was thinking to myself, ‘Where do I fit in the rap game?’ I ain’t that young, fly rapper no more. I’m like a great uncle to a lot of these rappers now. They’re sending me songs and trying to be a part of this too, so I’ve got to welcome that because they’re the future.”

Snoop recently teamed up with 88rising’s Higher Brothers for “Friends & Foes,” a promotional single for Netflix’s Wu Assassins. He also previously contributed to the Black Eyed Peas single, “Be Nice.”
