Snoop Dogg drops new album, ‘From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites’

The Doggfather celebrates 4/20.

Snoop Dogg celebrated 4/20 this year with a new album: From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites.

The weed-rap icon gifted fans a ten-song effort that includes anthems appropriate for the occasion, such as “Roaches in My Ashtray” and “Left My Weed.” It taps a variety of West Coast artists, such as NWA collaborator Kokane, former Eastsidaz members Big Tray Deee and Goldie Loc and California natives Larry June and Mozzy. Snoop also teamed with J Black, Devin the Dude and Prohoezak for the project.

Besides From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites, Snoop also shared a nostalgic video for project cut “Look Around,” in which the rapper recreates a number of classic rap album covers, like LL Cool J’s Radio, Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, Ice-T’s Power and more.

From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites marks Snoop’s first full-length project since 2019’s I Wanna Thank Me, which was his 17th studio album. Last month, it was revealed that Snoop had teamed up with Ice Cube, Too $hort and E-40 to form the supergroup Mt Westmore. They debuted their first single, “Big Subwoofer,” during Triller’s Fight Club event last week.
