Smino, JID reflect on their careers on new “Baguetti” collab

Produced by Kenny Beats.

Smino and JID’s much-anticipated collaboration “Baguetti” is out now.

The pensive bass-driven track, which had been teased since February, was produced by Kenny Beats. It marks the rappers’ third time working together, following their Revenge of the Dreamers III cuts “1993” and “Oh Wow… Serve.”

On “Baguetti,” Smino and JID take turns reflecting on their careers and past failed relationships, listing their regrets and what they wish they could’ve done better. “I need a minute to meditate / Gimme a second, babe / Full of regret, I been stressin’ on everything / So I’mma need everything, anything, pocket change,” JID rap-sings on the chorus.

“Baguetti” is the latest release from Smino, who previously released the solo tracks “Tempo” and “Reverend.” In April, he dropped the surprise mixtape She Already Decided. Meanwhile, JID has spent the year collaborating with a slew of artists, including Hardo and Deante’ Hitchcock. The Atlanta rapper’s last album, DiCaprio 2, arrived in 2018.
