slowthai has announced his sophomore album, TYRON, alongside a new single, “NHS.”

On the track, the British rapper gets introspective over a minimalistic beat, produced by Kelvin Krash, SAMO, Kwes Darko and Kiko. The song also features a shout-out to the NHS—Britain’s National Health Service—midway through the track.

“Same old shit, just another day / I was in my head, feelin’ dead, feelin’ microwaved / I was on the strip with the kids playin’ Simon Says / Tyron jumped the bridge, would you do the same?” he spits on the track.

The accompanying music video captures slowthai making several references to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, including performing atop a mountain of toilet paper, actively social distancing himself from others with a tape measure and lining up to do some panic buying.

Prior to “NHS,” slowthai released “Feel Away” with James Blake and Mount Kimbie. Both singles will appear on TYRON, the follow-up to his 2019 debut Nothing Great About Britain, along with collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Skepta and more.

TYRON arrives on February 5. While you wait, watch the video for “NHS” below:
