Slim Thug has recently tested positive for the coronavirus. The Houston emcee born Stayve Thomas broke the news yesterday in an Instagram video.

“Check this out. No games being played. The other day I got tested for the coronavirus, and it came back positive,” Thug revealed in the clip. “As careful as I been self-quarantined and staying home—I might have went and got something to eat, stayed in my truck, mask, gloves, everything on—my test came back positive.”

Thug explained that he suffered a “slight fever and a cough” before he was tested positive, though he assured fans he’s recovering well. “I’m good, I feel good. I don’t got no problems right now. The other day I had a slight fever and a cough; I feel better now. I have no fever or nothing like that [now] so I feel like I’m good,” he said.

The King of the Nawf rapper also pleaded fans to take the coronavirus seriously by adhering to the measures imposed to tackle the global pandemic. “Y’all gotta take this stuff serious,” Thug urged. “Stay home, self-quarantine and do not come outside for however long they’re saying.” He also asked those who were experiencing any symptoms to get tested if they could. “You need to go get checked out,” the rapper added.
