Ski Mask the Slump God returns with ‘Sin City’

The mixtape is his first release since 2018.

Ski Mask the Slump God has returned with his fourth mixtape, Sin City.

Released on June 25, the mixtape contains nine tracks and no features. According to an XXL interview with the Florida rapper in June, the release was inspired by the Frank Miller comic book series of the same name, as well as the series’ ensuing 2005 film adaptation.

Ahead of Sin City’s release, the rapper had teased the mixtape with a neo-noirish video where a bloody Ski Mask looks for his business partner and equips himself with a pistol and grills.

Sin City marks Ski Mask’s first full-length release since 2018’s Stokeley. The rapper had been on hiatus as he was deeply affected by the deaths of collaborator Juice WRLD and his close friend XXXTentacion, he explained in a 2020 Complex interview. Following his return, Ski Mask joined Lil Gnar and Chief Keef in May for the track “New Bugatti.”
