Brockhampton’s Kevin Abstract is reportedly the inspiration behind Shia LaBeouf’s next movie, Minor Modifications.

According to the FADER, the script for LaBeouf’s new film has appeared on the screenwriting website The Black List. As per the script’s synopsis, Minor Modifications is described as a “biographical fiction” film based on Abstract’s life. “[It] follows a Texas teen as he struggles with identity, finding meaningful relationships, sexual fluidity, and his direction in life,” the synopsis reads.

As The Playlist notes, LaBeouf had first mentioned the script in December during an episode on 3rd & Fairfax, the podcast for the Writers Guild of America West. No other information about Minor Modifications, including the cast and release date, has been revealed yet.

Abstract and LaBeouf are no strangers to one another. Last year, the Brockhampton frontman opened up about his friendship with the Hollywood actor and their weekly therapy sessions. “[LaBeouf] is ten years older than me, so the advice he has is fucking crazy,” Abstract said. “It’s really healthy to have someone like that in my life.”

Last April, Abstract livestreamed himself running on a treadmill for ten hours straight—an endurance stunt inspired by LaBeouf.
