Sheck Wes won’t face charges for alleged abuse of Justine Skye

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has rejected the case due to a lack of evidence.

Sheck Wes will not face charges for the alleged abuse of ex-girlfriend Justine Skye due to a lack of evidence.

The case against the “Mo Bamba” rapper was declined by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. Skye had accused Wes of being abusive towards her at the Montrose Hotel in West Hollywood last summer.

Last month, Skye detailed the incident in a tweet, stating that Wes “launched [a] phone across the room,” “slapped [her] in the face with money” and had to be restrained by hotel security “while [she] ran away.”

Although Skye’s case has been rejected, other legal proceedings against the rapper are still ongoing. In addition to the alleged abuse, the singer also called out Wes in a series of tweets last month, purporting that he stalked and attacked her and her group of friends.

Skye’s management confirmed the developing legal action in a statement to the FADER: “A judge in the Superior Court of California granted a restraining order against [Sheck] Wes that is still in effect and the correlating case is still pending. However, it is unfortunate that the Los Angeles District Attorney decided to not pursue any further action at this time but that is often the case with many victims of Domestic Violence which is why incidents like this go unreported much of the time.”

Neither Wes nor the LA Coutry DA’s office have commented on the case’s rejection.
