SG Tip recruits Smokepurpp, Yung Bans on “Push Up”

The single will appear on Tip's next project, 'Block Boy Tip.'

Looks like SG Tip’s on to bigger and better things. After spending time in juvenile detention, the rapper bounced back with his NWA mixtape and a tour with 21 Savage. And he isn’t done. Today, Tip dropped a new track, “Push Up,” with two other up-and-comers, Smokepurpp and Yung Bans.

The song is a low-key, meandering effort that sees each rapper bring their individual styles to the table. Purpp, whose lazy drawl opens the single, gives his most offbeat, heavy-lidded spin on the hook, while Bans closes out the track with his liquid flow. Tip adds the brawn to “Push Up,” spitting verses like “Your baby daddy is a vegan, he don’t want no beef / Pull down on your block, it’s a street sweep.”

The single will appear on Block Boy Tip, slated for release on March 28. Watch out for that, but in the meantime, check out “Push Up” here:
