SAINt JHN taps Kanye West for “Smack DVD”

A bonus ‘While the World Was Burning’ track.

SAINt JHN has released a bonus Kanye West-assisted track from his latest album While the World Was Burning.

Titled “Smack DVD,” the song marks SAINt JHN’s second collaboration with West, who earlier appeared on another While the World Was Burning cut, “Pray 4 Me.” On the fresh track, the rappers boast about their success by name-dropping several famous friends.

“Man, you talkin’ ’bout the president, I call the number up / Man, you talkin’ ’bout Elon, I call the number up / Man, you talk about Kim K, you know you effin’ up,” West spits.

“Smack DVD” dropped alongside a cheeky visualizer starring SAINt JHN at a strip club. The clip notes that West “didn’t approve of the video,” and so wasn’t featured in it.

“This might be his first time watching it right now,” reads a line of red text on the screen as Ye’s verse comes on. “Kanye, if you’re watching please raise your right hand.” It later adds: “Your part is almost over. It was a great verse.”

While the World Was Burning arrived last Friday. The follow-up to 2019’s Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, the album also featured cameos from DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, 6LACK, Kehlani and more.
